Amendment to the quality of petrol and diesel legislation

Directive 98/70/EC on the quality of petrol and diesel fuels has been amended by Directive 2009/30/EC to further tightened environmental quality standards for a number of fuel parameters and enables more widespread use of ethanol in petrol (see section on: Quality of petrol and diesel).
